A Message From Our President

Dear Friends,

This June, Elizabeth Callanan stepped down as president of the SBN after six years of service. We were extremely lucky to have Liz, who is also the Corporate Relations Manager at the Mathworks, as our spokesperson and representative. Liz has taken the lead over the years in creating inspiring and worthwhile events, held at the Mathworks and other venues. We are grateful that she will continue to serve on the SBN Board.

As SBN’s president, I will work hard to follow through on our mission to help businesses stop global warming. Our new Sustainable Business Leader Program is an example of how, as business owners, we can leverage our entrepreneurial skills to reduce business energy consumption and build awareness on sustainability issues.

Carpe Diem. This is the moment for our organization. Our list of accomplishments over the last two years are too numerous to name. From the SBLP, to the SBN Roundtable, to the Local First programs, and the Boston Green Business Awards, we are on a roll! And we are continuing to develop new programs that will have a real impact on our community, including a green jobs program and a green IT services program.

Whether you own a business, work in a business, or if you are just want to be part of a community of businesses who are actively involved in building our future, I invite you to join our organization.

Sincerely,
Susan Labandibar
